No wonder why I could never get an accurate beam heading to summit locations. That’s funny. Thanks Richard/Andrew! @VK3ARR
You did a wonderful job!
Thanks Andrew
no, I dislike such surprises.
Just produced a .txt file for my 30 QSOs of today and now I should convert that to ADIF ?
That means I have to convert all my QSOs daily by a second PC: My old SWISSLOG
for DOS does not know CSV or ADIF. SWISSLOG for WIN does, but I convert to WIN only
monthly …
Not happy to get problems from PCing in my age of 84.

Awesome!! Thank you for the hard work you put in on this project! Your redesign is very comprehensive, with great stats and a pleasing presentation.

Nothing has changes since the previous sotadata.
Csv, tsv and adif are supported.
Nothing was removed featurewise.
So if your file was working before it will work now.
Manual entry of activations (including s2s) and chaser qso via form is still available but in a better way.

Mike if you don’t like this one you can go now to the old one ![]()

Congrats for the nice update @VK3ARR , I like the stats, the badges, and the mapping of my activator QSO’s per summit, great work !
But I have two minor problems/remarks:
-
when I go to the database via the drop down menu on SotaWatch3 , I get the DUTCH page, but I like all SOTA pages in English, because I just am used to see all terminology in English.
On the old pages, there used to be a Language selection at the bottom, but I don’t find it in the new layout (or I didn’t look carefully enough ?)
A quick solution I found was to edit the URL from …sotadata.org.uk/nl/ to …/en/, and make a bookmark for it … it works for me. -
when I went to the old database ‘Activator Honour Roll’, I automatically got the ON listing (because I was logged in), now even when logged in, I get the ‘G’ listing.
Nothing “life threatening” but …
And I had to search a little what the FROOD badge meant … I found this about the 'towel"
but I’m still puzzled about what it has to do with the magic “042” ???

Top right next to the Login button is the flag.
It will remember your selection (browser cookie)
The number 42 is especially significant to fans of science fiction novelist Douglas Adams’ “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,” because that number is the answer given by a supercomputer to “the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything.”
So for a lot of us = SOTA ![]()
42, or The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe, and Everything
Hahaha… nice! Clearly you haven’t read the Hitchhiker’s Guide or you would know the answer. You should give it a read, it’s good stuff. I missed that easter egg… thanks @VK3ARR ![]()
Tnx for pointing out the flag Joe, I see it now … but it is almost hidden by that background picture.
Maybe a better place would be in the dropdown menu reached by clicking ones callsign, or find another (lighter) background picture …
And ok for the 042 … I knew I would get a quick answer to that, hi. (also tnx @ON6ZQ & @WU7H
)

Ha ha… I’m a “Moore”!!!
I’m loving all these badges. The 007 ones are hilarious.
“Force Sensitive”… got that one too.
“Frood” ha ha!
Definitely something amusing to work at.
It’s served another purpose… I’ve spotted I have the CW badge… so I’ve an error to correct! I can’t do morse!!!
Thanks a lot for all the work, great update!
Much better overview on a mobile device, compared to the old one.
Congratulations on the statistics page and the funny badges ![]()

Dear Andrew and the team,
Let me add my thanks for all the time, effort and wonderful imagination you have contributed to the SOTA community with these updates. In cases like this, I always ask myself “What would this have cost if contracted out?” We are fortunate to have your help. BRAVO !!!
Stay well & 73!
Mike, WB2FUV
I’ve got it…
Number of official Eon Produced Bond films
Lazenby 1
Dalton 2
Brosnan 4
Craig 5
Connery 6
Moore 7
It helps that I’ve got a full set to work it out!
Aran Fawddy next for me - GW/NW-007
Although that takes me to 3 so I won’t get an anything… except one step closer to a Brosnan.
Dave
