Congratulation, Richard @G4TGJ!!
Richard hit the 1,000 points on 10th April 2025, on G/NP-008 Great Whernside. With 37 QSO’s and 14 summit to summits, it looks to have been a superb outing.
Welcome to the herd, Richard.

Sorry, I missed you @G4TGJ Richard. You seemed to be rather busy working CW pile-ups, and we had an appointment to get to.
We had a lovely morning on Millstone Hill GM/ES-077. Hope the weather was fine for you.
Congratulations Richard a great achievement!

Congratulations Richard!
Congratulations, Richard, on achieving Goathood…I’m not jealous at all… 73 John
Jolly good stuff, congratulations.
Yes, it was excellent. I was able to sit on the summit for 4 hours without worrying about getting cold or being blown away. Radio conditions weren’t brilliant so I didn’t make a huge number of QSOs but I still managed a good number of S2S.
More like repeatedly calling CQ in the hope of a few more contacts! Perhaps we’ll make an S2S another time.
Tell me about it. I’ve done eight activations on a single KX2 battery; the 3S Li-ion type. That’s a record for me, but on many of the summits, it’s been single digit QSO’s.
Wierdly, most summit to summits have been strong reports both ways.
We did, when I was doing my MG activation in Ben More, Mull. You’ll need to let us know your plans for next week, then we can have some more.
Not S2S. I was at home, probably using about 40W SSB from the FT450D that I rarely turn on.
It’s a family holiday so I have no idea what we’ll be doing! Weather is turning distinctly wintery on the high tops but I hope to do something lower.
Congratulations Richard
See you on route to Goat 2
