Congratulations Richard!
Congratulations and thank for many qso from your summits!

Thanks everyone.
I started my SOTA journey in 2017 - it’s what brought me back to amateur radio after over 25 years away from the hobby. As a keen hillwalker it seemed the obvious thing to do. I didn’t take it particularly seriously to start with, with just 22 activations and 71 points from 2017 to 2019.
Covid lockdowns meant I didn’t do any activations in 2020. But I got busy with homebrewing and when I got back on to a SOTA summit in 2021 it was with a homebrew rig. Now every activation is qualified with one of my four homebrew rigs (and there’s a fifth being planned). So I just need to get to 1071 points to be a homebrew goat. Then there’s 5000 S2S points, 10000 chaser points…

I think we all started with that attitude. I initially estimated 10 years to Goat!
…and that’s the best thing about it. SOTA has infinite challenges, most of them individual to us and, thankfully, inside our heads!
Really congratulations Richard.
Furthermore, thanks for all S2S we had, all on CW.

It has always a pleasure to work you Richard on your way to Goatdom… and now hopefully beyond. Many Congratulations!

Your soon to be MG earned entirely on home designed/home built gear is something to be extra proud of.
Tnx for our S2S today and congrats aswell.
