Thanks, OM. There are many great free and open-source software for amateur radio, but I see that LoRa APRS by CA2XRU has gained a lot of users in a very short time.
Hi guys, got a tracker stuck on this screen! It was working perfectly and now wont load past here⦠any ideas?? Tried the reset button, and leaving off power for 10 mins, but its well and truly stuck on this screen!
Thanks everyone!!
Alan
Ended upo re-flashing it⦠works fine now!!

Is there a way to view the list of recently received call signs? Today I briefly saw a French station on the display. I believe it was F1ZSG in the Vosges which would be almost 170 km away. But by the time I got home to check, it was replaced with another call sign.
Thanks and 73,
Roman
The EA2RCF LoRA site seems to have some issues the past couple of days, as in not showing up stations, hopefully it is just a glitch
Do you mean this website?
https://lora.ham-radio-op.net
If so, Iāve been using it most days recently - including this morning to observe my own tracker - without problems.
Clip screen captured at 1340 today
Are you setting the Tail Length menu to 6 hours (the maximum)?
it shows the heat map but when you zoom in to see individual stations then its just an empty map, doesnāt matter if Iām using my PC or my android phone
it does say disconnected, but does try to connect
I have figured it out, my VPN was switched on
If anyone is interested in building a LoRa digipeater that is a bit different, take a look at this:
M0MZB-15 went off air on Friday at about 2pm BST.
Its going to be a couple of weeks before I get up onto G/LD-025 to take a look, as I am off to finish my last three NP hills next weekend.
The final tx from the digipeater suggest the batteries had run out of charge, so possibly a fault with the solar panel? Its unlikely to have been knocked over, so I canāt think what has gone wrong.
Maybe this is the reasonā¦
Must admit Matt, this was my thought⦠maybe a curious walker, or an errant sheep! I cant remember how you had it mountedā¦

Just a heads up to all LoRa users. MB7UBL-2 went live on May 4th 2025, approx 830m ASL on a farmer friends private ground. Hope it helps the LoRa network and keeps us safe on the hills.
Iām hopefully off to France in a few days so Iāve looked at taking my tracker and iGate with me. Iāll change the frequency to 433.775 but what about my callsign?
Testing this evening revealed that F/M0WIV is not allowed, the iGate didnāt even report it had heard any station transmitting. Switching back to M0WIV (plus SSID of course) and everything worked fine.
APRS limits calls to 11 characters which I was within but it seems punctuation and some characters including / are not allowed.
Couple of links on this John:
https://www.reddit.com/r/amateurradio/comments/6bj4u7/question_about_aprs_abroad/
Consensus seems to be to use M0WIV for the tracker/igate SSID (i.e no change) and put the F/M0WIV in the comment field.
Possibly off-topic and possibly a daft question - does anybody use LoRa to make QSOs on 70cm - it seems like a good digital mode, perhaps more chatty than FT8 and you canāt moan about the price of entry. I guess it should be on a different frequency if there needs to be a guarantee of no digipeating which sort of rules out APRS messaging, sadly?
Excuse my ignorance on this subject but is it possible to take packets from one system (LORA )and digipeat them on the older 144.800 frequency thus combining the two networks ? or alternatively use a PC to do LORA ? Do the trackers also act as a digipeater ?
Thanks all Brad
