This is sad news indeed. I first worked him from SOTA summits in 2014–he is in my log dozens of times, including a QSO when I was on a summit in New Mexico. de N1FJ Frandy

I never met Guru, but got to know him a little via his reflector posts and his insights into many aspects of radio and life. He was one of four EA stations who called me the day I first had QSOs with Europe from a SOTA summit. I knew his call by then and it was a thrill to hear EA2IF in my headphones! It was a wonderful feeling to know he was stalking me during my activations. We managed several more QSOs before his passing.
Guru has been with me on my recent ascents.
My deepest sympathies to his family and all who knew him.
