SOTAData3 (Part 2)

Now sorted. summits.sota.org.uk goes to the summits pages automatically.

This is great. About time it had a revamp.

For the completionists amongst us, can we get a list of the 250+ badges that are available to unlock? Perhaps show them all in the UI ā€˜greyed outā€™? I wonder if the Mountain Explorer and Mountain Hunter certificates are included in the badges.

The summit tags is a really good idea. Hopefully people will make use of this feature and in time these icons will flow through to other tools like SOTA Mapping and SOTLAS once they have caught up.

Regarding mountain explorer, hunter and similar badges - yes they are already there:

I donā€™t think displaying all the badges to everyone but greyed out is a good idea - haw many pages would you have to scroll through to find the one you have earned? Better just to have the ones you have earned shown and then the list with their icons somewhere else as a one page info screen.

Hi Andrew
I have just found your super new site and am stumbling through it with wide-eyes but we havenā€™t found some of my favourites yet: Total no of different chasers and total no of different activators contacted.
Many thanks for all the very hard work. Iā€™ve still got a lot more to explore!

I notice starting today or yesterday that when I click on the summit link on SOTAWATCH3, all I
get is a new tab with a blank screen. This is new.

Working for me. Try clearing your browser cache.

I guess the redirect the Andrew now enables fixed that issue too.

I do like the new interface and stats pages.
Not a top priority I guess, but a SWL stats page would be nice

Absolutely love the new upgrade. Some of these new bonus awards like 007 are great ! is there a list of all awards available ?

I have noticed a problem with the new database concerning the mapping of the s2s contacts when i click on the map contacts icon.

Some s2s contacts get mapped, and some donā€™t for my EU/NA log.

I checked my log and the missing QSOā€™s are correct in my logā€¦when i select the map feature other s2s contacts show up but my KO4YLZ and VA2NM s2s contacts are not shown.

No biggieā€¦just wondering what I am doing wrong.

It also looks like I cant fix/edit logs created before 2020ā€¦I can delete them, but their is no red edit pencil shown.

I have a similar issue. My QSO with AB1WX does not appear in the map for my activation during the S2S on Saturday. If I look at my chaser log I can click on the map icon and it does show the contact.

Iā€™ve also noticed that if I click on a chaser map icon it always shows the contact with a red line regardless of band even though the legend shows different colours for different bands.

Thanks for the report Pete. Will check it out.

Re: editing logsā€¦ only logs that were uploaded more recently are available for editing. Older logs donā€™t have the necessary extra data in the system. You could download the log to your computer, delete it from the DB, and re-upload it if you want to make it editable in the new system.

OK that makes senseā€¦I have lots of older logs and lots of older errors I figureā€¦

I will try to reload an older one after I recreate itā€¦as some point.

tnx

I see a Mapping Database issue where it places the station I worked located in Prescott Arizonaā€¦ in the Arctic Circle.

The line drawn from my recent activation of W7A/CS-023 goes to Alaskaā€¦then turns and goes NE to the Arctic Circle. A very interesting bounce path apparently.

I checked the grid square of the station worked in QRZ and it looks good.

I see this anomaly for other QSOā€™s from other peaks in other activations.

Not an urgent problem to fixā€¦but it does make for some interesting new and exciting DX paths!
