Thanks for the link to your wonderful video. The tri-boundary point you filmed is about 10 to 20 meters from where my tent was pitched. Since your filming a number of trees have fallen and the area no longer has a clear track - the tr-boundary point was rather overgrown.
It was good to see Glendhu Hill in your film, I suspect I will be back! A few years ago I visited the most remote spot in Scotland, and I would like to visit the equivalent in England. There is apparently also a claim that Glendhu was where Merlin lived.
I frequently toy with the idea of walking the Scottish watershed, after reading the book by Chris Townsend. I am The walk from Greatmoor Hill to Mosspaul (which forms part of the watershed) was delightful, and I feel even more like attempting it (but in stages). I am looking forward to doing the next stretch on the western side of the A7.
I met nobody during the three days, expect for the house owner whom I asked for water…the hills were empty. Contrast this with Easter week in the Lake District!
The racetracks are interesting, it is always curious to meet this sort of thing unexpectedly. It would make an interesting spot to park a campervan.
