Shadow Enigma

Just happened to stumble upon a fancy CW game called Shadow Enigma.

The idea is you are sent random CW letters and numbers at your chosen RX speed. You then copy what you hear in to your TX window and send it to the Enigma machine for translation.

The software then checks your input code against the Enigma machine to reveal the message and how accurate your copy was.

A handy tool for learning CW and also for any budding numbers station SWL espionage you might be planning!

Its good

I’ve just had a quick go and its a really good tool for learning morse. If you can read random groups its a big step forward towards being able to read any morse code that you hear.

I didn’t bother with the decryption = incidentally the machines we used in the 60s & 70s were the KL7 which were based on the original Enigma but had several more rotas..
