I will be on Madeira island from 26th October to 2nd November. Most likely QRV date will be 29th to 31st October. My ham equipment will be: Yaesu FT-817ND, LDG Z817 ATU, the antenna will be Buddistick vertical and two 2200mAh 11,1V LiPo accus. I will try to work 7MHz and up (14, 18, 21, 28MHz) SSB and maybe some CW. The summit will be Pico do Arieiro CT3/MI-004 (maybe also CT3/MI-001, depends on WX conditions) and my callsign will be CT9/S57D/P. See you on the air! Spots will be most welcome

QTH Funchal, Madeira island. I had no problems to pass checking on the airports Venice and Lisabon with ham equipment. In Venice no questions asked, in Lisabon I was asked to show LiPos. The WX conditions will be the best, but not good on monday, so I will try to activate CT3/MI-004 on monday, at 11:00UTC on 14.285MHz ±QRM. I will try also on the other bands. The number of activated bands will depend on WX conditions on the top of the mountain. I am affraid I will have rainy and wet situation up there, so there will be no CT3/MI-001 activation.
