ROLL UP… ROLL UP… ROLL UP… THE 2026 GW SOTA RAFFLE IS HERE!

We’re back again this year with another fantastic raffle to help raise funds for the running costs of SOTA - from websites to servers and everything that keeps our brilliant hobby alive.

For all activators and chasers who can’t make it to the event on Saturday 27th June 2026, you can still join the fun! £5 per strip gets you 5 tickets and a chance to win an amazing selection of radio‑related prizes. You can purchase as many strips as you like!

This year’s prize table already includes:

I’ll write your name on the back of your tickets. If you’re attending the event but prefer to pay via PayPal, that’s absolutely fine - just remember to include your call‑sign.

SOTA is a fantastic amateur radio community, so let’s support it the best we can.

For clarity, is the “event” you refer to, where tickets can still be bought, Ham Radio Friedrichshafen, on the SOTA table?

No Ed, this is our normal annual GW SOTA S2S party and hog roast, that we have held the past 5 years in GW/MW, to raise as much money as we can for the running costs of SOTA. I do a raffle on the day, and everyone can take part by purchasing tickets. I have always promoted this by giving anyone the opportunity of winning a nice prizes, even if this cannot attend the event. We have some good prizes this year.

Hi Ben

Sadly I cannot attend this years gathering as I’ve learned my in-laws have a significant anniversary party on the same weekend down in Essex for which my attendance is now required, so I have cancelled my alert for GW/NW-046, therefore if anyone would like that summit on the day feel free, I have sent you a donation via paypal & hope the day goes well, fingers crossed for better weather than last year, gutted I will be missing it, hopefully i’ll have better luck next year.
