Patscherkofel and a poisonous adder

Many thanks for the contacts today when I activated the Patscherkofel OE/TI-358. The ascent from the mountain station of the cable car was pleasant and warm due to the sun despite the wind and was completed in just under an hour.
Unfortunately, conditions were below average. So my wife didn’t have to wait too long. On the way back we saw the poisonous adder. No danger, it was still a baby. EDIT Not a baby, but 30cm long. :skull_and_crossbones:

In the last picture you can see the lightning bolt of Harry Potter in the sky. Below the Zugspitze DL/WS-001 in the snow and on the left the Brenner Autobahn bridge.

Hallo Chris,

ich würde mich freuen, Euch zum Kaffe einzuladen. Die Aktivierungszeiten waren heute leider zu unterschiedlich, sodaß kein S2S möglich war und auch über 145.500 war kein Kontakt möglich.
Meine Telefonnummer steht beim Ort Aldrans (bei Innsbruck) im Telefonverzeichnis (Internet und Telefonbuch). Nach so vielen Kontakten über SOTA und S2S wäre ein Zusammentreffen sehr schön!

Absolutely smashing weather. I wish ours was like that…Beautiful photos !!

The adder is a female (slightly browner) - the male has black markings.

Pedantic I know, but an Adder is not poisonous. It is venomous ! (you can eat it!).

Look carefully at the shape of the body. An omega. So it is signifying it will give plenty of resistance it you annoy it.

A pretty snake and apart from the above seems not too anxious for its safety.
