Ofcom consultation (Part 1)

I notice one of the proposed changes is to allow English operators the right to include an ‘E’ after their ‘M’ as in ME6GYU Obviously this only applies to to holders of M callsigns.

I can see that causing a problem. Quite a few operators will end up sending what may sound like a ‘G’ and it’ll cause a lot of confusion with operators outside the UK who may guess its a ‘G’ being sent. .
