Famous mountaineer, Nirmal Purja has been killed in an avalanche that has claimed 10 lives on Pakistan’s Broad Peak. Nirmal was famous for climbing all 14 mountains over 8000m in 6months 6days in 2019. This record was broken in 2023 when 2 climbers repeated the feat in just 92days
Nirmal’s film “14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible” is well worth watching and has been available on Netflix for sometime and worth watching if only to make you realise how rubbish your own fitness and endurance levels are.
