Congratulations Colin, I know you were looking for such target since long ago.

I’m very happy to have unexpectedly logged you S2S today.
To add some excitement, I was operating with a short loaded antenna (3,8m) in 40 meter CW!

I’m glad we have met on air today, and also in some of your previous special events.

A significant achievement, especially because many of your activations are done with home made equipment and very low power.

I’m not sure I have anything to prove, I’ve successfully built 3 radios on hill tops in the past.

It was just about enjoying friendship and a beautiful sunny day in the Yorkshire Dales.

I used my KD1JV MTR-5B which I built almost 10 years ago. The MTR-5B has been my main SOTA rig, I really like it.
