Here’s a little toy app I made for myself to estimate when one might achieve Mountain Goat award or how much work I’d need to put in to get there by a deadline.

I was going to make a nice little website etc. but that’s never going to happen so I’ll leave it as a streamlit app.

Maybe it will be 2027 since now I know I can easily optimise the winter bonuses on little summits around the house.

You had, I was using a different call!

Thanks for introducing me streamlit, I’ve used bottle.py to host web apps in the past but this looks so much nicer.

But now I want to fix the bug you found!

It’s a nice service to make python based web apps quickly. I’ve hardly scratched the surface of all their functions and features.

Heh. I’ve been activating since 18th July 2010, so my activation points rate is somewhere below 0.0183 points per day. At that rate it’ll take me 136 years or so to get to MG…

I suppose it could be the “wen next goat” app instead!

Then compare previous goat rates and compute averages etc. between them…endless possibilities :sweat_smile:

And maybe include a more “non-linear” forward extrapolation? depending on how long someone is already activating go my minimal and maximal rate per month or quarter.

This will give a span instead of a fixed date.

Was actually hoping that this prediction would become a feature in sotadata or sotl.as. But hey now it available :clap:
