Crossband activation sat / rf valid?

Tomorrow I plan the activation via QO-100 sat for the transmission and on shortwave for reception. My friend Wolfgang would be my chaser in the same way. Everyone else is welcome, of course!
Would that be a valid activation?

Logging a crossband contact

I’ve searched the archives and found a couple of references to logging of crossband contacts, but no clear guidance. I anticipate a situation in which I work one of my main chasers crossband 60/80m, because his noise level is lower on 60 and he will hear me better, but he can’t transmit on 60. If and when this happens, how do we log this in the database? Is the band entered the transmit band? That would seem logical, but an official “pronouncement” would be useful. Thanks Andrew ZL3CC

You can’t log it as cross band. Log it as the band you transmitted on and put something in the notes. Likewise for satellites, log you TX frequency and place something in the notes. In QO-100 cases it’s easy, just put QO-100 in the notes.
