The Humber Fortress DX ARC is proud to Announce and congratulate its youngest new Member Miss Kayleigh Huntley, on passing her Foundation exam at age 5 years and eleven months .
My 5 year old goes on about wanting a licence “like daddy has,” but I don’t think he could achieve the foundation for at least another couple of years.
Wow, well done her! That’s a good age for learning though - I took my sister up pen-y-fan years ago (before I’d heard of SOTA) to play radio on the top. She was interested in morse and by the time we’d got down 30 minutes later she’d memorised at least half the alphabet. She was probably 8 or 9 at the time. You could have some contesting competition by the time your son’s 10 Mike
Fantastic achievement I know from experience when M6 took his test that getting them at that age to focus is an uphill battle when there are distractions everywhere and in everything.
