Fantastic effort Gerald to go to all those summits and amazing how the panoramic view works as well.
I can only imagine that type of mountainous area nothing like that in vk5.

Hi Ian, last year i “guide” Gerard VK2IO to 2 summits there at about 2600m asl.
That was in summer time and no snow on the ground.

A pity SOTA had not been invented yet in 1993/1994 when I worked in Nice for a few months. I had visited a few of the more prominent points in dépts. 06 and 83 with an old TH-75 in my coat pocket (it still works!), but might have tried a few more …

My first Sota was in 1989 on Mont Bauroux (i didn’t even know one day it will be F/AM-415).
If you come back there i will guide you on the highest summits of the area…
