Summit you've chased the most times?

After logging yesterdays activation, I noticed I’ve chased G/SP-005 Pendle Hill 16 times. Not that many by chaser standards.

G/SP-015, 013, 004, must be in the frame for your most chased…

Curious that chased now means caught. I used to chase girls but I never caught that many.

That’ll be chaste then…

Hi Colin,

It took me over 2 years to get Skiddaw!

I still need shed loads in LD, including 52 to 58 inclusive :frowning:

In reply to 2E0YYY:

My numbers are fairly small as I am beyond normal 2m FM range of most areas, on the other hand I only need a few summits to complete G and GW. Nowadays I am not focused on scores, my aim is completing areas and Associations.

WB-002…40
NW-044…37
CE-002…36
NW-051…35
SP-004…34
SP-013…34

Oddly enough, LD-019 has eluded me for ten years, just a matter of always being in the wrong place at the wrong time, but sooner or later…

PS Chaste? Pun of the week!

In reply to 2E0YYY:

Skiddaw was the first English SOTA summit I chased after learning what SOTA was from Caroline M3ZCB when I caught her on Bengray GM/SS-238:)

Hopefully I will be able to give you and others more chance of Chasing some of the more difficult to reach LD summits when I finish building my 40m SSB Transceiver:), I expect my first test runs will be from Dent.

One of the few GW/NW summits that has always escaped me is the one I’ve activated 4 times including yesterday, GW/NW-061 Y Golfa. This one had also eluded Barry MW0IML until our S2S, also yesterday.

Mind you, the fact that I only log S2S chases makes things a tad more tricky

Yes, I meant to thank you for NW-061, it completed NW for me! I have three in MW and one in SW to complete GW.

In reply to G4OWG:

Hi Roger,

One of my customers lives 20 minutes from NW-071. I’ll be seeing him within the next couple of weeks or so. This will give me an excuse to activate this nice little summit again. Any weekdays I should avoid?

All part of the triple yankee 5* service , Brian

Mal GW6OVD, Andy GW7RKC and a few other members of the Aberdare Radio Club, have been chipping their way through the SW summits, but only VHF IIRC.

To qualify for five stars you need to supply callers with a complimentary trouser press.

Loading my CSV chaser log and putting a Quick formula into Excel:

G/CE-001 65
G/WB-005 54
G/SP-015 49 (I might have not logged a few for this)

Well the only one I have in double figures is HB/ZH-015 Altberg.
Funnily I haven’t heard Juerg on this one for over a week now!
Pete

In reply to G4ISJ: I took my XYL up HB/ZH-015 Altberg 2 years ago for christmas & part of our wedding anniversary trip (no radio) lovely trip on the railway out of Zurich, short walk then a tourist restaurant at the top plus very tall observation tower taking you above the trees. Great place to go after work if I lived there.
