SOTA Maps Not Recognizing Activation?

I activated W3/PW-046 the other day, and when you click the summit icon it still reads “not yet activated”. When you click on the summit and go to SOTA Summits The activation appears.

Just wondering what is going on and if there is a bug I wanted to bring it to someones attention.

The SOTA Mapping and the database are two different pieces of software… sometimes the mapping lags the database… usually nothing to worry about…

It’s updated once a day if I recall correctly, Rob DM1CM will answer I’m sure with the correct timeline.

Hi Evan,

Thanks for the heads-up on this one. I’ve been playing around on the sotamaps server, and for various reasons the data-update routine, which runs twice a day, had not been working for a couple of days. Fixed now…

Maybe is happening again? Been 4 days since I logged activation of VE1/NS-016.

You’re right Paul, it has been happening again - there had been no import of new data for a couple of days. I’ll have to keep my eye on this for the next few days, but in the meantime, I’ve fired the import manually.

This has been fixed this morning - just do a page refresh (F5 or Ctrl-F5).
