ZL Chasers and Logging

Yesterday, I worked Mike, ZL2CC from G/SP-013. Mike was formally G0LBP and he and some friends from ZL have expressed an interest in SOTA…

I’ve exchanged some emails with Mike and he’d like to log our contact.

I know there’s a specific way to for countries without an association to log contacts but I just couldn’t remember how it’s done, although “XXX-no association” rings a bell.

Can someone please point Mike in the right direction, so we can get him and his friends up and running. I’m assuming Mike will be able to register with Sotawatch2 and post to the Reflector in the normal way?

Mike was a fine signal out of ZL and I’m sure the early morning activators would love to get him in their logs.

And yes, I’ve given Mike the mandatory warning about SOTA being addictive :wink:

Yes.

XXX - No association yet.

Or he could attach himself to one of the VK associations for the time being. Your “Home association” can be changed at a later date in the “Edit details” section of the SOTA Database (if you are logged in of course).
