Can anyone confirm for sure that the activity by Club Station callsign ZB2BU/P yesterday (14/04/2026) that was spotted on the 20m band on 14014 KHz from ZB2/GI-001, was operating under SOTA rules within the activation zone on The Rock of Gibraltar?

Yes, I believe all should be good.
Dan, George and myself were joined by John ZB2JK of GARS; the three of us used ZB2/homecall under the VHF only reciprocal license to qualify on V/UHF (FM, FT8 and sats - SO-50 and RS-44) while John set up his HF antenna.
We were operating from just along from O’Hara’s battery, above the 1358.7ft (414m) datum painted on the wall at Lord Aireys Battery, so I believe safely inside the AZ.
Thanks to all those who chased - none of us are experienced satellite operators so apologies for the resulting slight chaos!

We met at the National Hamfest, originally some years back; Steve M1ACB and I were fortunate to visit back in September 2018 and spent a few days with John and Kevin ZB2GI (very sadly now SK), but didn’t make it up to that end of the Rock back then, so it was great to be invited back to tick off the SOTA this time!
