You wait for 1 new Yaesu and 3 come along at once...

Gary Bushell has done a video on two of the three new Yaesu RASPer’s.

Bit odd the F150 wasn’t included in the video. Is it not getting released in the UK?

What’s a Rasper?

Ah sorry, meant the new RASP radios. Just grouping them together.

The ASP part of RASP is the noise filter technology they added to the new radios. Or, as Yaesu calls it: " New Evolving Super-DX and Audio Digital Signal Processor"

All of them end with RASP in the model name, hence the little pet name given.

Nice cars in this thread. :star_struck:
On the Yaesus, rather 9 than 427.

Here, have a couple more.

And to round things off, a nice video so anyone born in the last 30 or so years can appreciate what us old boring people enjoyed for boring motorsport entertainment back then, vs the cmputer-aided processions of today. :grimacing:

Apologies, back on topic. I’d imagine the FTX will likely use the RASP/SDX technology? Not sure how much better it is than, say, noise filtering on an 891, for example.

Appreciate the focus on analog and that these things have a data port - so making the 6000 redundant now perhaps?

This year I’ve had the pleasure of being able to drive my step dad’s Morris Traveller a few times. It’s funny seeing the reactions of motorists on the motorway as you pass them!

The Moggy is propelled by a 1.8 twin cam. There is room for a turbo, although I haven’t convinced my step dad yet!

Drop in a little Honda DOHC Type R engine, supercharger and some NOS and that thing will be a champion!

Or how about an Allegro estate and convert it in to a drag racer ‘funny car’ or chuck a top fuel engine in it? Shazammmm!!!

Euromillions win? Commission Brabus to overhaul one!

Brabus Austin Allegro SS 1300 Superleggera with 100% dysentery brown velour interior by Bertone anyone? :kissing_heart: :ok_hand:

I think after all of the work squeezing the Mazda engine in, it won’t be repeated in a hurry!

When I drove the car last, I triggered a check engine light, presumed due to driving it on the motorway from cold. The code was cleared via the OBD port. I wonder how many Moggies have an OBD port?!

That was probably the car saying to you “where’s my engine gone!?”

Slam it, toss on a few 20" deep dish chrome spinners, air suspension, wide arches and supercharge it! Megamoggy!
