Today I spotted the wrong summit on 40 meters. Mobile internet was between patchy and absent and I had to SMS-Spot the reference I noted beforehand. Sadly wrote down S5/TK-006 instead of S5/JA-006 for some reasons. After my 40m activation I realized my mistake in 2 minutes of mobile internet coverage and subsequently spotted the correct summit on 20m…
Being Swiss I’m not used to having no internet on the summit, I realize that I have to improve my preparation for an activation and at least double check the reference in my notes.
I will contact the people from the “who chased me” page separately within the next days, but maybe some of you see this and can correct the log already.
(I was also a bit in a hurry because my wife didn’t make it to the summit and was waiting for me some way back…)
Sorry again for the mistake, especially to those who thought I’ve given them a new summit…
