Wrong prefix (MW) used on G/WB-012 today

I used the wrong prefix for this morning’s activation.

I’d been away all week Wales and forgot I’d snuck into England. Correct prefix is M0. Rightly or wrongly, I’ll log everything as MW0CBC/P as worked on-air unless anyone tells me otherwise.

Sorry for the incompetence

As Viki would say, you forgot to take the whisky out (no bad thing!!) :grinning:

I’m definitely better known for putting the whisky in, particularly if it’s a nice, peaty, Islay malt

Once your log is submitted, it would be interesting to see how many chasers self-corrected their database entries. Might change your mind about logging it as MW0CBC. Then again, with voluntary prefix rules (dumming down and sloppy IMHO), who cares?

Corrected here, did not notice until your post,

I’ll see what happens but I’ll log under the call I used - MW0CBC/P

Denis…a bear of very little brain

The rules say you either use the RSL or don’t. There’s no provision for you to use the wrong RSL. Or an invented one.

That’s the correct thing to do. But to be pedantic you didn’t use a valid call in England so the whole activation could be considered void irrespective of which call you use for the log.

However, you’re honest enough to admit the reason for the error and so I, for one, shall studiously look elsewhere when you submit the log with the wrong call :see_no_evil:

The English border is probably just a guideline anyway.

Once upon a time no one cared where the border was; only where you could source sheep, pillage and women with the least come back. Countries are a relatively new invention in evolutionary terms.

Speaking as an Anglo Saxon invader.
