Would you like a Top Band 160m contact from St Kilda??

Hi all,

As many of you will know from a previous post, Tim (G5OLD) and I (GW4BML) are hoping to be on St Kilda for one or two days the weekend after next, between the 21st and 23rd of August. We plan to camp on Hirta, home to the SOTA summit Conachair GM/SI-098. Our main goal is to activate Soay and Boreray, but while we’re based on Hirta, it would feel wrong not to attempt a 160m top‑band activation from the summit, assuming permission is granted.

Is this something the SOTA community would be interested in if we’re able to make it happen?

Your thoughts are very welcome.

Yes this would be a great challenge for my new-ish 250ft doublet antenna :slight_smile:

CW or SSB Ben ? May need to roll out a rx beverage just incase :slight_smile:
