Worldwide Points Banding Distribution

From the SOTA database, here’s an interesting look at the distribution of SOTA points by the points buckets, i.e. 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 for all Associations as of Feb 2015.

Also note this is an AVERAGE of all Association including the P100 associations which might contribute to the low end of the points buckets.

How’d that couple of three-pointers get there? :confused:

I’m slightly surprised to see relatively few 1 and 2 pointers. I was expecting (based on nothing much at all, TBH) to see either 1 or 2 pointers having the most summits. I suppose I shouldn’t really be surprised, though, as assignment of points to summits is somewhat arbitrary…
