Unfortunately I live fairly remote and don’t know any other hams that are close to me. It’s not a big deal since the mag loop works so well for receive. But, if I get the opportunity I will certainly check it out. If you check out the W6LVP site (https://www.w6lvp.com/). He sells his mag loop with a couple of options. One option is the unit that sits in the house and injects the power onto the coax has a built in Transmit/Receive Switch. It has dual PTT ports so it can be daisy chained if you are short on ALC ports. It also does RF sensing in case the ALC port has an issue and it has a manual ON/OFF switch. It’s a really nice setup and at a very reasonable price compared to many of the other options out there. Especially since I only wanted it as a receive antenna. With a cheap RCA antenna rotator I figured out for each band what position (degrees) is the quietest and have saved those in speed buttons. I also use Ham Radio Deluxe which provides antenna rotator degree information so I can also try to rotate the receive to their position. If you check out my QRZ page you can see some pictures of it. Thanks for the suggestions. I’m a new ham (January) and still learning a ton!
