Might have a bash tomorrow after Wards stone G/SP-003 if my legs are up to it! it looks a bit of a barren wasteland navigation wise, i have a map and compass (yep, old school). but is it more obvious than it looks??
Thanks everyone!

I think bog snorkelling gear is required unless everything is frozen solid or it’s been dry for many, many weeks.
Lots of people report it as being very wet and boggy however when I went it was pretty dry.
I recall it was still hard going but don’t remember why.
hmmmmm theme running here….. Was it bad right from the get go Andy? or does it catch you out as you get higher.. past the point of no return so to speak?
Peter, what time of the year did you go?? im trying to get a feel for it!
Thanks - Alan
Navigation is easy. Just follow the fence from Cross of Greet.
I’ve only done it in summer due to its reputation. I know Colin @M1BUU recommends wellies.

I do not have rainfall records to hand to check what the weather had been like
Although Tom’s blog from 2 weeks earlier paints a different story: White Hill SP-006
I have still to do it but the fearsome wet &boggy reputation precedes it. I was thinking maybe this year when I come to and go from Blackpool.
hmmmm, ok…. it doesn’t look TOO bad if im honest… I can remember Black hill G/SP-002 before the slabs were laid, and THAT was a bad slog… and Tom’s pics dont look as bad as that! thanks Peter…
ok buddy, yes.. thanks! i was looking at the fence line.. Left of the fence or right?? ill be ok on Wellies, i wear hi leg boots, and if the weather is like today ill be in shorts too, so bring on the mud!
Ill report back Andy!
Thanks - Alan
Right. From the parking, cross the stile and follow the fence. There are a couple of tracks parallel that may or may not help you avoid wet bits. It’s very obvious.
Excellent, thanks buddy!
