Today while on the train en-route Roy G0HDX suffered a suspected heart attack and passed away

That is devastating news Phil, it comes as a shock to me, so I can only imagine how you & his family must feel at this time.
I had the pleasure of working Roy many times, most recently from NP-005 on 4m while I was in the 6m backpackers contest on Longridge fell. It was always a pleasure.
My sincerest condolences to his family & friends at this very sad time.
He will be greatly missed!

Although I never met him Roy G0HDX always came across as a nice guy and a gentleman on the air, he will be sadly missed. Our thoughts are with his family and with Phil G1OPV in what must have been a most traumatic experience.
