What a Luuuverley Day!

Hope the rest of March is like today. Think I have got a bit of sunburn on my face.

Did the “fabulous five” of two pointers (plus winter bonus) of the Welsh Borders plus Corndon Hill just over into Mid Wales.

There was a keen cold wind if you were in it, but Sue (XYL) and I managed to stay out of it and soaked up the sun.

Thanks to the many chasers I worked on more than one of the summits today, plus a host of Summit to Summits as well. I’ll have to enter all the data now.

For the records the summits were
G/WB-004 Titterstone Clee Hill
G/WB-002 Brown Clee Hill
G/WB-005 Long Mynd - Pole Bank
G/WB-003 Stiperstones
GW/MW-013 Corndon Hill

A quick tot up of the estimate of time spent walking comes out around three hours (we weren’t racing around). Driving was about another two hours between the parking spots. So if you operate on 2m FM with a handheld and a dipole and you have some nice co-operative chasers (thanks lads and lasses) you can whizz through the contacts and easily get through all of this in 7 to 8 hours without breaking your neck.

Thanks for the points Gerald… and I hope the aforementioned PTT RSI is settling down today ;)))

In reply to G7LAS:
Ha ha, yes, having a steady day today. Resting up my mic finger. Yesterday was the first time I’ve managed to flatten the battery completely on my FT-270, even though I was giving it a boost charge in the car between hills.

I was going to go out and do a bit more today, but as the luuuverley weather has deserted us again (overcast and cold here in Mold) I have opted for jobs instead.
