It is with sadness that I report that Walt G6XBF passed away in his sleep last night.
Any Activator that worked Walt will know that he was a keen Chaser especially on 2m FM.
He will be missed.

That is so sad. Walt was one of my top chasers and the number one on 2m FM. I shall miss hearing his voice.
Very sad news. Walt G6XBF and Brian G4ZRP are my two equal top chasers, and I was looking forward to speaking to Walt again on my return to the Northern Pennines this year. Somehow an activation never seemed complete without hearing his cheerful and encouraging voice.
Our condolences to Walt’s family and friends. Judith 2E0MDY and I will both miss him.
Very sorry to read this news but glad to hear that he passed away peacefully. I was always pleased to hear his distinctive voice on 2m fm whenever I was in the area and we would exchange a few cheerful remarks. It doesn’t seem long since I last spoke to him but I think it must have been on a trip to the Yorkshire Dales in March. He was a very keen chaser and always seemed delighted to make contact again and remebered we had talked many times before. My condolences to his family.

Just read this and must add my condolences to his family. He was always a distinctive chaser and I’m really sorry to hear of his passing. RIP.
Only just catching up on the reflector. Very sorry to hear of Walt’s passing. He was a regular chaser on 2m when I was in the area, and I even gleaned a 70cms contact from him when we were up there in April.
Just found out yesterday the sad news that Walt is silent key,met him many times at the rally’s & was my most worked chaser .

Ah that’s sad news. Had plenty of contacts with Walt on 2m FM whenever I was in the area. Last one was just a few months a go from Great Shunner Fell.
Condolences to his family and friends.
