Dennis WA2USA just reached his 5X Mountain Goat while activiating in Colorado this summer. Many of you have worked Dennis as he’s been activating SOTA peaks since 2011 (14 years). In fact, he has made over 22,000 contacts now! He’s among the early SOTA adopters here in the US – in the league with W1DMH, WG0AT, N7UN, KT5X, KE5AKL, KD5KC and K0MOS to name a few. He shows no signs of slowing down and I know he’ll be climbing mountains for along time to come.

My 1st chase by you was 19 July 2011 and my 1st chase qso of your 1st activation was 28 Oct 2011. You bit hard on the SOTA hook with 11 more activations in 2011!

Working other activators in Colorado has been an amazing series of lessons about how there is often a useful signal path, even if the topography suggests otherwise.
