I activated Pajarito Peak on Sunday, 10 March.
Some may be surprised that New Mexico has this much snow The elevation is over 3100m (10400 feet).
This was my first time skiing to a summit.
Notice these are downhill skis. I had the luxury of taking the ski lift to the top.
I had a nice log for my shack, and the weather was perfect with zero wind.
Some may not be familiar with the official New Mexico state question - “Red or Green?”, referring to the chili of course. The official answer is, “Christmas”, although I prefer mine Green.
