It is with sadness I report that long time SOTA chaser W5GDW, Gary Whitt of North Carolina, has passed away. He loved SOTA and was always there to give us contacts. I have him in my log 211 times. Rest in peace good friend, rest in peace.

Thanks for letting us know Ron. He chased me many times, and I would hear him from my home QTH chasing all the time. RIP OM, perhaps we will QSO again someday in another life.

Sorry to hear it. I’ll miss hearing him in the pileups! We never worked but I sure
heard him a lot.
