Thank you chasers for another successful activation. I made 13 QSO’s on 15 Meters with 4 DX. I also worked one station on 20 and I had an opportunity to evaluate my Elecraft AX1.

Sometimes when I bring my AX-1/KX2 combo, I question "Why do I bring all this extra stuff? Mast EFHW etc, it just works, certainly enough to get the 4 contacts in

A.J., Thanks for the feedback. Although the AX1 probably won’t take the place on my Trail Friendly it is going to be very useful on snow covered summits. It goes without saying that sometimes it’s near impossible to get a pole up and a wire pulled out.

Exactly, it’s saved activations for me when there is a cramped summit, no room for mast or no good trees for wire!
