Please join me on the hike and activation of summit Hohe Veitsch OE/ST-121.
I hiked up already Friday after a 2,5h drive after work to Graf Meran Schutzhaus (Mountain hut/shelter) and stayed overnight. On Saturday I went on a double activation of OE/ST-211 Turntaler Kogel and OE/ST-184 Rauschkogel on a hot humid day but that is not included in the video.
After another night in the hut the wx had changed a bit and clouds and wind arrived.
So I hiked up the summit and setup my 4el Yagi and the FT817nd was back in action. About 2,5 Ah used in 4,5 h of SSB operation. Mainly S&P and some CQ calling.
Worked several SOTA stations for S2S and of course a good bit of contest calls.

In the preliminary logcheck on 6th place in the Category D (5 W and 1000 m ASL) with unconfirmed 12573 km (points) in total. So nothing to write home about. So I am telling you all - hi.
