Hi Eric,
I was expecting this and was tipped off by a friend who works for CA Forest service. There has been a huge amount of non-compliance with the no burn order, as is often the case, and folks parking on road signs and hiking past barriers. Having seen a dwindling number of activations here in 6 land recently; it is obvious that SOTA participants take our forests and their health seriously.

Because of Inyo NF closure, my Mt. Whitney day hike permit for Sept 6 canceled, and I already deleted my alert for Mt. Whitney activation. My try later this year if fire conditions will allow or next year.
