Planning a summit to celebrate 15 years since my 1st SOTA activation.

Unfortunately I didn’t make this connection until my wife and I had committed to something over in Liverpool from the late afternoon.

So… it’s going to be a local summit with a very short walk, so I can spend plenty of time on the summit and still get home in time to go out later.

The summit will be Hope Mountain GW/NW-062. I’ve alerted for 10:00UTC. 2m FM, 2m SSB and various HF bands. As long as the cows don’t get too frisky!

Hopefully speak to a few of my “regulars”.

Congrats on 15 years of SOTA-ing, I hope the activation goes well, unfortunately I can’t chase you as I will be in Chester Cathedral this morning.
I have my 10 years SOTA anniversary next January, so I might do something similar from my first hill, Foel Fenlli!

Congratulations Gerald. Glad to get you in the log on 144.315 SSB. Difficult copy, and I don’t know my new rig so well yet, so took a bit of fiddling trying to pull your signal up. My yagi’s vertical at present, so perhaps cross-polarisation was playing a part, but the path’s obviously a bit tricky, too. I think you picked one of the very few GW/NW summits I stood a chance of hearing. :slight_smile: Most of the rest are behind the big lump of hill my house is on the side of. I did hear your half of your S2S with @MW0PDV on GW/NW-035 but couldn’t hear him at all. Thanks for your activation. :slight_smile:
