Ill be testing out new bands and modes on G/SP-015 tomorrow. In particular, Ill be trying out a new home brew antenna a on 4M, which is a new band for me. Ill also be trying FT8 on 20/40M/2m and 70cm -again another first for me (FT8 portable)

Well done on new modes. My experience with FT8 out portable is finding a spot on the waterfall to transmit. I try to avoid 20/40m as those bands are so busy 24/7. Yesterday i was portable in a WWFF and lots of dx stations would just tx over top of me and block out my 20 w signal. I like to use 30/17m due to some restrictions to some licence ops access to those bands so they are not so busy, but there is still a good amount of ops who will qso with you. That’s been my experience using FT8 on SOTA or WWFF good luck and enjoy.
