Then it all went dark!

I was hoping to start activating again this season, after a break for a year, but Saturday’s shenanigans nearly put paid to that!

I was visiting a relative and on leaving managed in the dark to fall off the step and onto my knees, I managed to get up but fell sick and dizzy, and promptly passed out, luckily my other half was standing next to me and managed to stop my fall by pushing me against a car, unfortunately, I hit my head and also have done something to my left shoulder, no bruising but boy it hurts!

When I came around I was covered up on the ground and an ambulance had been called, feeling a bit groggy I was told to stay put, 12 hours at A&E, one CT scan on my head and an x-ray later I was sent home, nothing but cuts and bruises on legs, a thick lower lip, bump on the head and of course my shoulder which I think maybe a torn ligament.

Not as serious as in 2011 when I had a proximal humerus dislocation and stage 3 fracture which still causes me grief, but the left shoulder is extremely sore, looks like I going to be giving those Welsh 3000s a miss this year!
