There was an X1.6 flare today from sunspot 2158, the same spot that produced a six hour long M4 flare yesterday. Both flares sent CMEs our way so watch out for auroras (and auroral propagation) over the next few days, along with disturbed conditions on the HF bands - and look out for more of the same. On the plus side, SFI is up to 159 and rising, and it looks like more sunspots are about to rotate into view!
