I activated Mount Eden earlier today and saw that Pukekohe Hill was a nice drive up along the way to Rotorua so I decided to take a quick detour for (hopefully) an easy activation!
Called CQ using the KH1 and immediately got JA5QJX on 15 meters and ZL1IM on 40 shortly after. I switched to VHF and for some reason I couldn’t get out using my FT-5Dr so I gave up and was trying to call on 40 meters again and Steve - ZL1TZP drives up with a HT saying “try this”
