I will hopefully be field testing my new setup of FT-891 and Raspberry Pi5 later today. It won’t be on a SOTA summit, but I would be grateful if anyone that randomly hears my CQ responds. Time should be around 2pm BST so 13:00 GMT and for about an hour or two.
Probably FT-8 on 10m is the most likely but FT-8 and/or JS8 on 20m may get a run out too.
I was going to take it up a SOTA summit but the weather isn’t looking great so just a local high spot where I can sit inside the car if needed.
The setup can run any digital mode, but FT-8 and JS8 are the ones I’ve familiarised myself with so far at home on the Pi.
If the test is successful, I’ll post the setup here although don’t expect a lightweight digital package, this is not for those that want minimalism 
and probably useful for the easier summits.
Also being taken is a 19element 70cm beam for FM testing, to see if we can frighten anyone into some 70cm activity
