i use visual gps program nmeatime 2 on windows computers. just need a $20 gps puck / mouse, . works with the computer clock (windows) so nothing to worry about with the digital ham programs sync. for raspberry pi with build a pi , just use the same gps puck/mouse
both have been perfect and nothing is required from operator both have never failed for automatic time
