As it is now March, I just though that I would remind anyone that wishes to activate Swinside G/LD-057 that March is now the only month of the year where you are able to obtain permission to walk up and activate this SOTA summit (see G/LD-057 - Swinside (1pts, 245m.) (sotadata.org.uk)).

Thanks for the heads up Jimmy, I did not know that March was the exclusive month these days. Do you have the latest contact details for the owner? I know it has changed owners several times in the past.

For anyone wishing to activate Swinside G/LD-057, this is to remind you that the only month of the year that you can get the permission to activate this summit is March. I would suggest that if you would to activate Swinside G/LD-057 to send an email to the email address mentioned on this summit notes page ( G/LD-057 - Swinside (1pts, 245m.)) so that you can get added to the permission list for this upcoming March. If anyone however had any more recent updated information, please post on Swinside G/LD-057 summit page and maybe let Mark @M0NOM know as he is now the region manager for G/LD.

As it is now March, you maybe able to obtain permission to activate Swinside G/LD-057 without needing to spend a lot of money to go quad-biking and without the 15 minute restriction on the summit with just a hand held and rubber duck.

March is the only month each year where can obtain permission to activate Swinside G/LD-057 so if anyone wishes to activate this summit, please email QUADTREKS@MAIL.COM to request permission before the end of this month (March 2025).
