Just an excuse to post the summit camp photo, really:
Not much of a story to tell. A 3-hour mission after work from our normal camp spot, heading along the range to bag ZL3/WC-466, Mt Priestley. Camping in the AZ just below the summit. Hoping for some grey-line DX but no joy in that regard - however made 13 local ZL and VK SSB contacts on 40m and 20m.
The only bad bit was getting up at 6am this morning to mission 2hrs back along the range (faster walking this morning when I haven’t just bush-bashed up 1300m to reach the tops) to where I was supposed to be camped: nice and fresh to start my day’s work.
