Summit access metadata

I notice summits in some regions have data about how accessible they are (and it looks editable), such as VK9/NO-001, but doesn’t appear to be the case in VK3 (eg. VK3/VT-011).

Is this something I can help contribute to for the summits I’ve visited in VK3?

Hi Alan @VK3XE,

Do you mean under the ‘Resources’ section, like this?

If so, you need to login in order to add an entry (you can add a plain text write-up, which is my usual choice, or you can link out to a blog page if that’s your thing). You can only edit what you’ve entered as far as I know, although I’m sure Andy @MM0FMF can confirm what is possible.

Those tags can only be assigned when adding an article or link.
Best is to describe the access limits and use the restricted access symbol.

Edit summit tags, and add an article/link to explain why is the basic approach. I need to get on with searching by metadata

I too suffer from the dilemma of only having 24 hours in a day. I checked and didn’t see this metadata in the API either (but I could have missed it). Any chance of adding it, then I can systematically go through all my activations and add it (otherwise I know I’ll miss some summits along the way)

There’s no documentation for the API that’s still valid. Well, the endpoints still exist on older APIs but I will be going to remove them at some point.

The new API isn’t planned on being documented much for two reasons, one being documentation implies support, and the second being watching the logs fill with any number of AI bots searching for API docs then hammering the endpoints it finds therein with almost-but-not-quite-correct data.

But yes, there are endpoints that provide summit tags and flags
