SP-008 Boggy Summit

HI All

Thanks to the chasers (most of them on Black Hill and Easington Fell for the cream tea/cheese & wine) for the QSOs today on 2m FM, and to SOTA News Editor Roy G4SSH, for spotting me. (Good Vodafone coverage on Lad Law).

What a boggy summit though - it was like walking on jelly on Bedding Hill Moor on the way to the top, water under peat, a lethal mix. Some members of our walking group are tackling the 40 mile Bronte Way so it was a shame not to do a smash and grab on SP-008 in the rain, as we were walking past and grab a few points. Less than 2 miles of a detour. 16 QSOs made and best DX - I haven’t a clue! Probably somewhere in Lancashire, and if the guys on Black Hill would like to enlighten me - which Black Hill were you on? There are loads of them. I don’t think it was SP-002.
