SOTLAS callsign recorded against alerts and spots

SOTLAS is an amazing resource Manuel, @HB9DQM. I am very grateful for your commitment and ongoing development.

The ability to Alert and Spot directly for SOTLAS is a great feature and reduces the opportunity for incorrect summit references.

The SOTLAS website has recently started posting my Alerts and Spots from callsign M0KXN, not my home callsign, MW0KXN (The W being the regional identifier for Wales).

I have alerted for GW/SW-004, Waun Rydd this Saturday, 14th December 2024, using both SOTLAS and SOTAwatch to demonstrate this point.

Now that I have discovered that I can edit either entry on either platform this a minor issue, but it is nice to see my alerts and spots highlighted green on SOTAwatch, and helpful to see all of my alerts when I filter by callsign.

Is there a setting that I can change to manage the callsign associated with Alerts and Spots from SOTLAS?

I have checked my SOTA account which is registered with callsign MW0KXN.

Thanks again,
Kevin

Hello Kevin,

Looks like SOTLAS overzealously “normalized” UK callsigns to the version without the regional identifier (which is used for checking if two callsigns are the same). Should be fixed now. Thanks for the report!
